As our Head of UK Marketing, you will be a proven senior marketing manager tasked with conceiving the strategy and delivering the execution of integrated, multichannel, results-driven marketing campaigns for some of the UK’s biggest pop culture events.

The role is the perfect opportunity to make your mark in this fast-paced and dynamic sector, driving forward an extensive events portfolio that is the undisputed leader for our fans and among the wider pop culture communities we serve.

You will lead and manage a passionate team that is responsible for the full marketing spectrum, from lead generation, marketing automation, PR, digital strategy, social content and SEO, as well as imagining, creating, and executing captivating storytelling to inspire our audience, exhibitors and partners, while empowering our commercial teams with the tools to succeed.

Within the broader organization, this role acts as the main thought leader for our event brands and works closely with each event team, our sales and tech teams, and the management team to deliver growth and a compelling attendee and exhibitor experience.

Responsibilities Include:

  •  Drive the vision, strategy and execution for marketing across our entire events portfolio.
  •  Design and execute our marketing communications strategy, including all aspect of digital,social, newsletter and database marketing.
  •  Take ownership of, and deliver on, the ticket sales growth targets for all of our events.
  •  Partner with our sales teams to align on strategy, assets, KPI’s, and resources.
  •  Define, manage and own our events marketing budget.
  •  Evolve our merchandise offering to ensure it resonates with attendees.
  •  Work with our tech team to develop, tailor and optimise our event websites.
  •  Manage the overall PR process and all external agency relationships.
  •  Partner with key clients and exhibitors to amplify their presence at our events.
  •  Seek out and deliver mutually beneficial agreements with relevant media partners.
  •  Oversee, digest and distribute post-show feedback so we always find ways to improve.

Required Skills and Experience:

  •  A proven, hands-on track record of building brands, and devising, managing and executing successful campaigns in the pop culture space.
  •  Experience in conceiving, presenting, and delivering ROI-driven marketing campaigns.
  •  Strong strategic and creative skills, with the ability to measure and analyse all activity against agreed budgets, KPI’s and targets.
  •  Proven ability to work across a diverse set of teams, including events, sales, ops, tech and content, as well as with external partners, to define and deliver marketing strategy.
  •  Demonstrable experience of hands-on marketing for digital or events brands, and be able to point to a relevant portfolio of impressive previous work.
  •  Experience with profiling, segmenting and targeting audiences and commercial partners.
  •  An effective people manager who develops, grows and gets the most from teams.
  •  A deep understanding of digital marketing trends and a passion for innovation.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  •  Knowledge of working in a directly relevant pop culture industry.
  •  An interest in, or personal passion for, entertainment, technology or media in general
